Europe's Concern: Would America Show Support with Donald Trump as President?

Last week's debate between the current President and the former President of the United States had not just the members of the Democratic party worried but also the allies of the United States, namely those in Europe and Asia.

They are worried because of the dismal performance of the incumbent President Joe Biden and the increasing possibility of Trump being elected as the President of the United States after the November 2024 elections.

This is because Donald Trump is unpredictable. In his previous term, Donald Trump had vowed to cut funding to NATO and let his European allies fend for themselves.

Their worry is particularly of concern due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and also between Hamas and Israel.

Would Donald Trump change the present policies of the United States in favor of Russia is one particular concern.

The growing clout of China in international affairs is also a subject matter of alarm.
