What Does The Bible Say About The Antichrist

Bible states that the beast (antichrist) will rise out of the sea (probably about a gentile nation) during the end times and will try to change the laws. He will exalt himself above God and make a pact with Israel for 7 years; in the middle, he breaks this pact and starts persecuting the Christians, known as the period of great tribulation. Beast opposes Christ and is engaged in all antithetical activities Christ did during his first coming. The antichrist is eventually cast into the lake of fire along with the false prophet when Christ comes a second time. Along with the false prophet, the antichrist deceives many people into receiving the mark of the beast. The identity of this mark is unknown, but it is probably a spiritual mark.
