What Happened To Jonah In The Bible

According to the Bible, A massive fish swallowed Jonah after he was thrown out of a ship. In his great affliction, he prayed to God, and God saved him by making the fish vomit out Jonah unhurt on the third day.

This story has an allegory with reference to Christ being resurrected on the third day after his crucifixion.
