What Is An Apostle In The Bible
The apostle in the Bible means each of the twelve disciples of Jesus. They are:
- Peter
- James
- John
- Andrew
- Nathanael
- James, the lesser or younger
- Judas Iscariot
- Thaddeus
- Matthew or Levi
- Philip
- Simon the Zealot
- Thomas
Two of the four gospels were written by the apostles, namely, the gospel of John and Matthew.
According to various sources, Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver which led to Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection.
