Where Is The Garden Of Eden In The Bible

The Garden of Eden is the biblical paradise created by God for Adam and Eve. It contained the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge. Both Adam and Eve were prohibited from eating from the Tree of Knowledge as the fruits from this tree contained knowledge of both good and evil. Eve was the first human to ignore this commandment and ate the fruit and also shared the fruit with Adam, thereby bringing sin to this world.

The exact location of the Garden of Eden is unknown.

The Garden of Eden symbolizes a place where absolute harmony exists. God wanted human innocence intact, but knowledge of evil was equivalent to losing innocence.

All three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) believe that such a garden existed before the corruption of humankind.
